We have not had to wait for much from the first drawing to the official photos. Renault-Samsung Motors is shortage today new SM5 2010, a average-great saloon car derived from the familiar Lagoon.
The car, designed completely by the South Korean division of Renault, will try to be placed a step over the competition with still little habitual functions, like an electrical seat with function of massage for the conductor, an air cleaner by ions, and a perfume diffuser with six different fragrances. By all means also there will be space for the adaptive xenon lights and the rest of the equipment that already we have been able to see in the Lagoon.
The motors would not have to surprise anybody: 2.0 to 2.0 gasoline and diesel engine, both together with an automatic change.
Up to here, everything wonderfully. What it does not square to us is the monstrous resulting back projection to nail a conventional maletero to the Lagoon; we hope that in person the effect is not as exaggerated as in photo. Still more if it ends up being sold in Europe within Renault range as they indicate the rumors.
Samsung Motors will send the SM5 in South Korea at the beginning of year. Its approximate price will go up to around 23 million of wones (13,200 Euros to the change), reason why will compete of form fit with the new Hyundai Sonata.
